SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The Pacifica Hotel Co., operator of 26 boutique West Coast hotels, believes that special locations add to a meeting’s success.  As proof, it points to two of its recently renovated coastal hotels.

At its 111-room Jamaica Bay Inn on Mother’s Beach in Marina del Rey, Calif., the meeting room for 60 not only faces the water but also is outfitted with flat-screen televisions and other technology. Caribbean decor, part of its 2011 remodeling, also sets the inn apart.

Another oceanside property, the 97-room Lighthouse Hotel, is in Crescent City, Calif., near the San Francisco Bay. In its recently renovated 4,400 square feet of meeting space, most rooms have large windows for natural light and views of the waves. The hotel also has direct beach access.
