Pursell Farms: Fore on the Farm

Your Golf Cart Is Waiting

Once you arrive on the property, you won’t need your car. All cabins, cottages and other accommodations come with golf carts for guests’ use. Even nongolfers will find the quiet, fuel-efficient vehicles enjoyable to drive while on-site. Guests use carts for transportation to meetings, golf, meals or just enjoying the resort’s expansive grounds.

Pursell Farms maintains a corporate sponsorship arrangement with Club Car, one of North America’s largest golf cart manufacturers that originated when the course was used primarily for training golf course superintendents.

Resist the Temptation To Cook

Pursell Farms is a full-service resort for meeting groups. All lodging facilities have kitchens, but guests are not allowed to cook. Private chefs prepare meals on-site as requested, and many groups dine al fresco on one of the resort’s many patios.

The resort has gardens and grows many of its own vegetables, herbs and flowers. Pursell Farms also sources nearby farms for organic eggs, stone-ground grits, dairy products and meats for its menus. Among the Pursell family’s recipes that are now used for guests are deep-dish cobblers, classic cornbread and biscuits, Mr. Jimmy’s Salad and Grammy’s Pimento Cheese.

Guests may also dine at the Grille at the Clubhouse at FarmLinks or have meals catered by the Grille in their cabins or cottages.
