RENTON, Washington – Red Lion Hotels Corp. has opened a new franchise location in Renton, the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center, after signing an agreement with the owners this summer. This is the sixth franchise agreement completed by the company in 2014.
Located at one of the busiest interchanges south of Seattle and Bellevue, the hotel was a Holiday Inn before it became the Rainier Hotel and Conference Center. The hotel features the Yankee Grill Restaurant, an outdoor pool and heated whirlpool, a fitness center and complimentary Wi-Fi. With 7,000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel is known for its meetings and events.
The city of Renton is on the south shore of Lake Washington in the Puget Sound, six miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The hotel provides easy access to key Boeing training and manufacturing facilities and shopping at The Landing in Renton and one of the largest malls in the Northwest, Westfield Southcenter. The hotel is also near the Seattle Seahawks training facility and the Starfire Soccer Complex, in addition to popular attractions such as the Museum of Flight and others in the Seattle and Tacoma areas.
