Renaissance Honolulu Hotel and Spa Debuts in Heart of Honolulu

HONOLULU, Hawaii — Hotel management and development company Highgate recently celebrated the grand opening of Renaissance Honolulu Hotel and Spa, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The hotel features contemporary design, cutting-edge amenities and a residential feel in Honolulu’s Ala Moana district.

Located near the open-air Ala Moana Center, the 39-story hotel features 187 guest rooms and suites and 112 residences with panoramic ocean and mountain range views. As one of Renaissance Hotels’ featured services, the on-property Navigator serves as a friendly, neighborhood ambassador and can connect guests with local experts as well as help them discover the best things to savor, shop and see across the island. Uhiwai Spa, home to Oahu’s first traditional Japanese ofuro, offers residents and guests personalized wellness rituals. In addition, concierge service includes a daily shuttle for easy exploration and customized pre-arrival groceries delivered via room service.

Meetings and Events

R.E.N. meetings and events programming blends sophistication and functionality with 8,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces for groups of up to 75 people. Groups can use the 1,190-square-foot Club Lounge or the conference room and executive boardroom. The 7,200-square-foot Great Lawn can accommodate receptions for up to 50 guests. Groups can enjoy farm-to-table delights and personalized culinary creations. The hotel is located one mile from the Hawaii Convention Center and seven miles from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

Design and Rooms

Rooms feature island-inspired luxury, from handcrafted wooden furnishings to locally sourced artwork. Spacious rooms and residences boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows to showcase Oahu’s South Shore. Large bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, Toto washlets and Aveda bath amenities complete each room, and premier residences come with fully equipped kitchens, featuring Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.

Dining

Renaissance Honolulu boasts the debut of MARA, a modern 6,700-square-foot restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine prepared with Hawaii’s local ingredients. Chef Michael Ocampo and Chef Franz Wohlrab offer family-style tapas, grilled meats and fresh seafood along with a full-service bar and lounge, which includes al fresco dining.

The Coral Club Lounge, located on the 15th floor, serves breakfast, midday refreshments, evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Sway Bar and Grill is a poolside dining venue and bar, serving light, fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The hotel’s lobby café features LAMILL Coffee, and in-room dining is also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Immersive Wellness

Amenities on the eighth floor Sky Deck include a full-service spa, meditation gardens, fully-equipped fitness center with LifeFitness and Peloton equipment, glass-enclosed yoga studio and an outdoor MoveStrong strength training experience. The Sky Deck also features a 25-meter lap pool, two hot tubs and a heated saltwater swimming pool surrounded by cabanas and BBQ pavilions.
The Uhiwai Spa offers a variety of treatments, including massages, facials and more, as well as indoor and outdoor soaking tubs, Himalayan salt saunas, steam rooms and cold plunge baths.
