CITY, N.J.  —  Revel, a $2.4-billion beachfront destination, is gradually revealing itself during an eight-week preview that began in early April.

Over the course of the two months, more of the resort’s restaurants and amenities will open. The complete resort will premiere May 25. It will be an entirely smoke-free facility.

With 1,898 guest rooms and suites, the distinctive 47-story tall tower is on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, between South New Jersey and South Connecticut Avenues.

Among Revel’s features are 14 restaurants created by chefs who include Alain Allegretti,  Marc Forgione, Jose Garces and Robert Wiedmaier; a 31,000-square-foot spa and 10 pools. Two acres of outdoor space are anchored by InOut Pool, a pool that begins indoors and continues outside.

In addition to theaters with capacities of 700 and 5,500, the resort  has 160,000 square feet of meeting space, which it calls The Think Tank. Facilities include a ballroom for up to 1,800, 20 meeting rooms, four executive board rooms and 90,000 square feet of outdoor event space.

The resort’s many restaurants are located in its Revelry area, where guests can also shop, go to nightclubs and gamble in the casino.
