BETHESDA, Maryland — The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, recently unveiled 124 redesigned luxury villas, the most recent piece of the hotel’s renovation. The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas opened its doors in January 2024, becoming the newest addition to The Ritz-Carlton’s collection of over 110 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The property also reopened with new meeting spaces and event facilities that span 80,000 square feet, including 29 event rooms and 19 breakout rooms. The largest event space is the 8,000-square-foot ballroom that can be split into four separate rooms, followed by two smaller ballrooms — one with 3,000 square feet, the other with 4,400 — that can each be divided. An amphitheater room seats 90 people, while outdoor spaces include event lawns, a pavilion and the resort pool.
The initial phase of updates introduced several enhancements, including Bar Juniper, a new lobby bar spotlighting clear spirits. Additionally, 427 guest rooms were revamped with elements reflective of the resort’s historical roots as the former Little Ranch on the Hills.
The property has a 38-year history in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and is undergoing a $55 million renovation following its acquisition in 2022 through a joint venture between Trinity Investments and Partners Group.
Sitting on 400 acres in Irving, Texas’ mixed-use planned community of Las Colinas, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas is located on a former family ranch in that boasts breathtaking nature just minutes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and downtown Dallas. The property has two 18-hole golf courses and is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Next to the resort is The Nelson Sports and Golf Club, providing guests with access to expansive recreational facilities. These activities include outdoor tennis courts, racquetball, a fitness center and a group exercise studio featuring classes from aerial yoga to cycling, and many more.
The redesigned villas are located just steps from the resort pool and dining options, with the views of the TPC Las Colinas golf course serving as a backdrop. Each of the 124 villas offers distinct living, dining and outdoor spaces that deliver modern luxury while also embracing the history and aesthetic of Texas, Arizona Foothills magazine reported.
A villa stay includes a range of new services, such as a dedicated concierge, personalized pre-keyed curbside check-in, villa escort services, a 24/7 call and text service, daily turndown service and a customized honor bar.
Guests can also choose from exclusive experiences, such as custom shopping excursions, private wine and Amaro tastings, and family-friendly options like the Ritz Kids Safari Scavenger Hunt, chefs-in-training cooking classes and youth golf lessons. Additional amenities include Intelity tablets, luxurious Frette linens and enhanced barware.
Led by Jeffrey Beers International, the villas’ design is inspired by the Lone Star State’s ranching history. Design elements include saddle work-inspired leather stitching, earth-tone porcelain tile, and a golden-hued color palette. Contemporary elements, such as ash-colored woodwork and satin-brass accents, blend with rustic decor and equestrian-inspired artwork.
The Premier Golf Villa, The Poolside Villa, the 1,000-square-foot Villa Suite and The Premier Villa Suite are among the new additions that provide guests with a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature.
