Rosewood Hotels and Resorts to Debut in the Dominican Republic with Rosewood Punta Cana

HONG KONG — Rosewood Hotels and Resorts recently announced its first property in the Dominican Republic, Rosewood Punta Cana, in partnership with Grupo Puntacana. Set to open in 2029, the new resort will be a significant addition to Rosewood’s global portfolio and its growing Caribbean collection.

Rosewood Punta Cana is located on 50 acres of prime real estate, including 400 meters of untouched beachfront. The property will offer 78 spacious suites, including several lavish overwater villas. Eight dining venues will include a specialty restaurant, a destination bar and a beach grill, ensuring a variety of culinary experiences. Rosewood’s integrative wellness concept, AsayaÒ, will support guests’ holistic health and well-being through treatments and therapies that leverage indigenous ingredients and techniques. The center will be home to six treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon, a dedicated retail space, a juice bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness studio. The property will further feature a fully serviced beach, an outdoor sports facility, indoor and outdoor event spaces and the Rosewood ExplorersÒ children’s club.

Located within the Puntacana Resort, a 15,000-acre master-planned community comprising luxury residences, resorts, retail and recreational facilities, Rosewood Punta Cana will provide guests access to an added roster of amenities. Highlights include a PGA Tour championship golf course, a tennis center designed by Oscar de la Renta, an equestrian center and an ecological reserve. The resort will be 10 minutes from Punta Cana Airport, which offers direct flights from cities across the U.S., South and Latin America, Canada and Europe.

“The Dominican Republic is a tropical paradise that celebrates the diversity of Caribbean culture,” said Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. “Long renowned for its beautiful beaches, world-class golf courses and high-end residences and resorts, we are eager to bring Rosewood’s unique approach to the island and set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region.”

Rosewood’s arrival in this part of the Caribbean is a testament to the luxury lifestyle brand’s expansion. When it launches in 2029, it will join sister properties Rosewood Baha Mar, Rosewood Bermuda, Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth and Rosewood Little Dix Bay, as well as additional pipeline projects in Barbuda and The Bahamas.
