The McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center at Texas Tech has six meeting spaces and 7,000 square feet of meeting space. Its courtyard and lawn area can be ideal for receptions.
The Legacy Event Center, a refurbished historic facility, has 13,600 square feet of event space that includes a ballroom, a boardroom and two general-purpose meeting rooms.
Wine lovers will be pleased with CapRock Winery, the state’s second-largest. Along with tours and private wine tastings, it has private rooms that hold up to 250 people.
At the Bayer Museum of Agriculture, 5,200 square feet of meeting space includes a conference center that accommodates 300 people.
Hotel Options
Among hotels that can be ideal for meetings, the Clarion Grand Park has 11 meeting rooms with more than 25,000 square feet of event space. It also offers 201 guest rooms.
The Overton Hotel and Conference Center features 20,000 square feet of meeting space and more than 300 guest rooms. An 11,250-square-foot ballroom can be converted into three separate rooms, and two levels of conference facilities are available.
With 15,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 7,000-square-foot conference center and nine meeting rooms, the MCM Eleganté Hotel and Suites accommodates various-size groups. It has 293 sleeping rooms.
