Sandpearl Resort Debuts Refresh

MANCHESTER, United Kingdom — Opal Collection’s Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida, recently completed renovations of all its guest rooms and suites.

Sandpearl Resort offers 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, including three ballrooms and two executive boardrooms, in addition to the resort’s outdoor lawns and beach.

The property debuted the top-to-bottom refresh of all 253 guest rooms and suites in February. The bathrooms were entirely gutted and redone with soaking tubs and walk-in showers, while the guest rooms and living spaces were refreshed with new flooring, carpets and rugs, paint, couches – all pull-out sofas for extra sleeping space – furnishings and other decor and accessories. Suites with kitchens received all new cabinetry, upgraded appliances and brand-new dishware serving up to six people.

Other modern-day conveniences were introduced, such as USB outlets for device charging throughout the room, nightlight features under bathroom counters and mirrors, and new venting systems that guests can control.

Before the renovation, the style of all of the guest rooms was a bit of an Old-World Caribbean vibe, with canary yellows and light greens, dark wood furniture, bamboo-like chairs and palm leaf ceiling fans. The property wanted to modernize the rooms and make them feel breezier.

The all-new color scheme features light creams, sandy beiges and crisp whites, all layered with pops of sea-inspired blue shades found in area rugs, throw pillows, bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, and more. Blonde wooden floors run throughout the space, and the suites boast white marble slabs in the kitchen. New furniture has a mid-century mood, and decorative elements include driftwood, coral sculptures and fresh flowers, while the chandeliers look like they’re made of white, undulating seaweed or Capiz shells.

All 50 of the one- and two-bedroom suites, plus all 35 junior suites, feature deep soaking tubs.

Sandpearl Resort boasts its own 700-foot stretch of beach where guests can enjoy beach chairs with umbrellas, cabana rentals, and food and beverage service from Tate Island Grill. The resort also offers a zero-entry lagoon-style pool and the 12,000-square-foot Opal Spa, which is home to seven private treatment rooms and ocean-inspired therapies.
