PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida— Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa, located near Jacksonville, Florida, will debut property upgrades to its meeting spaces and private beachfront club this winter. Plans call for modern design and furnishings in the resort’s new beachside rooftop restaurant and refreshed meeting space.
The resort’s meeting spaces will undergo a full facelift, bringing a new modern ambiance to the ballrooms, breakout rooms and pre-function areas. Inspired by its Ponte Vedra beach location, updates will include new furnishings, accents, paint, vinyl and carpet with oceanic and earthy textures and color palettes throughout more than 90,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space.
Of the Sawgrass resort’s four ballrooms, Champions Ballroom is the largest at 16,000 square feet, followed by Masters Ballroom at 8,000 square feet and Heritage Ballroom with 4,000 square feet, all of which are flexible. The 5,500-square-foot Arbor Ballroom has a wrap-around deck overlooking a private lagoon and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors.
The resort also boasts several outdoor venues, such as the 9,000-square-foot Spa Lawn and the covered Cascades Deck that overlooks Cascades Lawn, which can accommodate receptions for up to 500.
At the resort’s Cabana Beach Club – a private beachfront club open to resort guests and members – a new rooftop beachside restaurant will offer fresh seafood, small plates, cocktails and fine wines along with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The new venue will be open to the public, resort guests and Club members. The entire Cabana Beach Club dining experience will be reimagined with a new space, new menus as well as the new branding and reopening of Sea Porch restaurant and all-new branding for Sharkey’s Pool Bar & Café.
