Jeff Ferrazzo, regional development director for online marketing company Constant Contact, will discuss “Engagement Marketing: What Social Media Can Really Do to Grow Your Business” at the Small Market Meetings Conference Oct. 6-8 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The SMM Conference has become known for its education sessions, three succinct seminars that deliver valuable information in a fast-paced format.

Ferrazzo’s talk will show meeting planners and supplier how to inform, inspire and create long-term meaningful connections through engagement marketing.

He will discuss how to take the customer experience a business delivers and leverage it into connections that enable ongoing dialog; how to choose technology that multiplies impact, tracks effectiveness and saves time and effort; how to gather and interpret feedback from customers and prospects; how to create content that encourages recipients to reshare it and how to build mailing lists, avoid spam and schedule email.

During a 20-year career, Ferrazzo has helped small businesses build professional relationships with organizations and individuals.

Some 14,000 people have attended his education and training sessions in the past three-and-a-half years. A member of the National Speakers Association and an author, Ferrazzo is known for being candid and for keeping his presentations fun and fresh.

During his career, Ferrazzo has also launched two successful small businesses. One designed digital display kiosks for the event and tradeshow industry. The other was a consulting firm that trained business owners on sales and sales training, engagement marketing, branding and brand development.

Sunday’s opening speaker, Shawna Suckow, will discuss how changes in the Web have changed what audiences want. She’ll tell planners what they must do to meet the needs of their varied audiences.

In her seminar, attorney Barbara Dunn, a partner with Chicago-based Howe and Hutton, will tackle the top 10 legal issues that face meeting planners.
