Statehouse Convention Center wraps up renovations
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Renovations begun in 2010 have ended with the completion of the Wally Allen Ballroom’s upgrades at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The ballroom’s new carpet is the most notable change, with its contrasting waves of blue, teal, red and taupe, representing the Arkansas River and rolling topography that the ballroom overlooks.
Airwalls were installed in the 18,500-square-foot ballroom to make it more flexible. Other convention center upgrades include new carpet, paint, wall treatments, sound systems, lighting and door hardware.
Located downtown, the Statehouse Convention Center has 250,000 square feet of meeting space, including four exhibition halls and the Wally Allen Ballroom, the largest such facility in the state.
