Appalachian Dining
The resort’s three on-site restaurants offer a variety of dining experiences. Many menu choices are based on authentic Appalachian recipes and use locally sourced game, fish and produce.
The resort’s signature restaurant, Stillwaters, is located on the lower level of the lodge overlooking an expansive patio and Stonewall Jackson Lake. In fair weather, guests may choose patio seating.
Featuring lighter fair, Lightburn’s Restaurant offers an outstanding view from atop the golf course’s clubhouse. A lounge with multiple televisions and a menu of sandwiches rounds out the resort’s dining options.
Off-Site Attractions
The resort’s location in the Mountain Lakes Region of West Virginia brings access to five lakes and opportunities for fishing, boating and plenty of sightseeing.
Among local attractions are the Stonewall Jackson Dam, with tours available; a wildlife display; and a one-mile hiking trail with scenic overlook. Within an hour’s drive are wineries, touring trains, an amphitheater with live performances and movies, and a small water park. For shooting enthusiasts, a five-stand sporting clay facility features seven solar-powered launchers that are wirelessly remote controlled. And only 90 minutes away, some of the region’s best white-water rafting can be found.
