Team Building: Geo-Mission

Armed with clues and a GPS, groups at Wooded Glen Retreat and Conference Center in Henryville, Indiana, race through the woods together to accomplish the Geo-Mission challenge. Wooded Glen can customize the experience for each particular organization based on a desired theme or goal the company would like to establish.

Larger meetings can break up into teams and compete against each other for the most points by the end of a certain time. The GPS unit aids participants in using clues to find various waypoints. Once at each waypoint, teams must find a particular object or complete a challenge.

Each challenge’s point value coincides with the challenge’s degree of difficulty. Typically Geo-Missions last two hours with a Wooded Glen staff member to facilitate the experience.

Meeting planners also frequently choose the retreat’s Low Ropes Challenge Course for a team building activity. This course features more than 20 indoor and outdoor team-building activities for the purpose of encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and communication. Planners can look through the list of activities to handpick the ones they think will prove most beneficial to their group.

The retreat’s 567 acres and over 10,000 square feet of meeting space create a relaxing place for corporate and association meetings.
