For this team building activity treat your team with a trip to a local pumpkin patch in October to pick out their pumpkins. Once your team members have picked out their pumpkins have a pumpkin carving competition either with them carving their pumpkins at the office overnight or later that afternoon in the office. Then open the contest up for voting that will last for a week or two, giving plenty of time for everyone to vote. This is especially fun if you have a traffic flow of customers in and out of your office that can vote on their favorites.
At the end of the voting period give an award to both the individual and the department, such as finance or front office, that scored the most votes. Try a prize that fits with the pumpkin theme such as a pumpkin pie or $5 Starbucks gift cards so they can enjoy a PSL or some of the delicious pumpkin bread.
