The Coeur d’Alene Resort to Expand with New Tower

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Hagadone Hospitality recently broke ground on a new tower that will add 139 guest rooms to The Coeur d’Alene Resort in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Construction began this spring, and the new Sherman Tower is expected to open to guests in May 2027.

The resort offers 25 event rooms with more than 32,000 square feet of conference, exhibit and meeting space. The Hagadone Event Center & Garden, which can accommodate events for up to 450 guests, sits on the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course and features retractable glass walls and two indoor fireplaces.

The Conference Center Ballroom offers 15,168 square feet of divisible space for up to 1,500 attendees, and the Bayview Rooms — located directly across the foyer from the ballroom — are three unique, configurable meeting rooms with marina views. Lakeview Terrace is a rooftop venue for up to 300 guests.

With the expansion, The Coeur d’Alene Resort, which Newsweek recently ranked the “No. 1 Waterfront Hotel,” will have a total of 477 guest rooms.

In addition to 139 new lakeview guest rooms — including three luxury suites — the 15-floor Sherman Tower will feature a 6,000-square-foot restaurant with a seasonal rooftop bar and nearly 4,000 square feet of retail and office space.

The tower will have single-loaded corridors ensuring unobstructed guest room views of Lake Coeur d’Alene; a luxury lobby with plush seating and a custom statement fireplace; a lobby café and lounge; a fitness center; a business center; and a valet parking garage with 100 spaces.

The tower’s oversized guest rooms will offer 500 square feet of living space as well as views of the lake from a private, 56-square-foot deck. Each room will have high-speed internet, smart TVs and electronic blinds.

A modern Mexican seafood and steak restaurant will be located on the tower rooftop, where retractable glass walls will allow it to remain open 365 days a year.

Groups can also charter a scenic lake tour, zip line through mountain forests, or lounge in a private poolside cabana.
