Opening late summer 2020, Lubbock’s premier boutique hotel, the Cotton Court Hotel, will open its doors. Featuring a modern take on a 19th-century cotton gin, this hotel taps into the rich history of Lubbock’s cotton industry and agricultural roots. This hotel is the ideal location for meeting planners looking to experience the culture of West Texas, boasting both indoor and outdoor meeting spaces and an abundance of natural lighting, making it a highly coveted venue. Located in the heart of downtown Lubbock, this 117,250-square-foot property will hold 165 rooms with features of Buddy Holly, cotton fields and bales in the details. Complete with indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, a pool, restaurant and courtyard activities, this space will be a premiere venue to host events.
After several years of envisioning a performing arts venue that would house acclaimed entertainment and revolutionary performances in a facility designed by world-renowned architects, come fall 2020, the vision will come to fruition. Designed for local, national and international entertainment and arts education, The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences will house 222,000 square feet of space, making it an ideal venue for any size event or meeting. Located in downtown Lubbock, Buddy Holly Hall will house a large main theater with 2,200 seats, a studio theater with 425 seats and a multipurpose event room equipped with 6,000 sub-dividable square feet of functional space functional for receptions, lectures, meetings, conferences and more.
