MATTESON, Ill. — The Village of Matteson and state, regional and local officials in September celebrated the grand reopening of the Holiday Inn Chicago Matteson Conference Center, following a $12 million renovation.

The project began last November and included all of the hotel’s 202 guest rooms. In addition to new decor, bathrooms were redone and flat-screen televisions and complimentary wired and wireless Internet access and other amenities were added. Free parking and a complimentary local shuttle are also offered.

The hotel has 15,000 square feet of meeting space with ballrooms that can range from 1,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. Its new Bar Louie Restaurant claims to have the world’s largest 3D TV bar.

“The reinvestment in this hotel is truly a reinvestment in our community,” said Andre B. Ashmore, president of the Village of Matteson. “Having the Holiday Inn Matteson open for business and flourishing means more jobs and greater economic opportunities for the village.”

Near the intersection of Interstate 57 and U.S. Route 30, the Holiday Inn Chicago Matteson is 35 minutes from downtown Chicago and less than 10 minutes from Interstate 80.

O’Hare International Airport is about a one-hour drive; Midway Airport is about 30 minutes away. Matteson’s two regional commuter rail stations are five minutes from the facility.
