Who’s speaking at the SMM Conference?

Left to right, Naomi Angel, Shawna Suckow and Jeffrey Ferrazzo

Shawna Suckow

Suckow kicks off the conference with Sunday evening’s keynote address. A meeting planner for two decades, Suckow founded the Senior Planners Industry Network (SPIN) five years ago for meeting planners who have a decade or more of experience in the industry.

Her talk “Meetings 3.0: Enough’s Enough: No More Fluff or Boring Stuff!” will tackle how the Web has changed what audiences demand and what meeting planners need to deliver.

Jeffrey Ferrazzo
Ferrazzo is a regional development director for Constant Contact. His work with the online marketing firm makes him well-suited to lead a seminar called “Engagement Marketing: What Social Media Can Really Do to Grow Your Business.” Ferrazzo will look at ways technology can be used to establish connections with clients, gather and interpret feedback and build mailing lists.

Naomi Angel
As general counsel to national and international trade associations, Angel frequently works with meeting planners. She’s a partner in the Chicago law firm Howe and Hutton, which is known for its work in the meetings and convention industry. Her topic, “Top 10 Legal Issues You Should Be Concerned About,” is a pertinent one for any meeting planner.
