Camden on the Lake, An Ozark Hotspot

At the end of a winding road that weaves through lush forest and passes a series of rocky outcroppings around the serpentine Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, adventurous guests can uncover an entire city within a city at Camden on the Lake.

Built by a local developer and opened in 2008, Camden on the Lake was purchased by a group of private investors in December 2015 and has been carefully renovated to offer some of the most upscale and premium accommodations around the lake. Every suite now comes equipped with full kitchens, cozy living rooms with fireplaces and big-screen televisions, granite showers, spacious bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the lake or the woods.

The resort itself offers an amazing space by the lake to unwind, with multiple restaurants and an entire range of on-site activities and amenities. Aside from being one of the top Lake of the Ozarks choices to sleep and eat, it’s quickly becoming a favorite place to meet.

“The resort has grown tremendously in popularity for conferences and vacation travelers,” said Nicole Kever Torres, director of sales and marketing at the Camden on the Lake Resort, Spa and Yacht Club. “The resort is the ideal location for conferences and special events, and features numerous amenities for guests traveling to the lake for vacation, business or a special event. My amazing staff works closely with clients to provide this experience. I am so lucky to work with the people I do; the entire resort staff shares my passion. Not only that, but we get to sell a destination that was named the top recreational lake in the United States last year, and that is pretty exciting.”

Meeting Space

Camden on the Lake features more than 19,000 square feet of meeting space spread throughout the property, with the largest space, the Grand Ballroom, spanning 6,600 square feet and able to accommodate up to 650 guests. It can also be broken down into three sections of 2,000 square feet each. The other meeting spaces and their capacities are the Kinderhook Ballroom, 500; the Grand Glaize Room, 300; the Osage Room and the Gravois Room, 175; the Toad Cove Room, 90; the Shawnee Bend room, 50; the Multi-Media Theater, 48; the Camden Conference Room, eight; and the outdoors Lakeside Space, 700.

In the Off Hours

In its secluded spot on Toad Cove, the resort offers a diverse menu of activities for groups. With the resort’s regularly scheduled live entertainment and unlimited access to lakefront activities, guests never get bored before, during or after events at Camden on the Lake. Groups can rent out the theater for a private movie night in or spend the day on the water, either renting a boat or a jet ski from the marina before bellying up to the swim-up pool bar. The resort also offers a full-service Aveda spa, hot tubs, a game room and more. Thanks to its location in the Lake of the Ozarks, guests staying at the resort have easy access to the Osage Beach Premium Outlet Mall, numerous wineries, and breathtaking hiking trails.
