Marriott Columbia Completes Guest Rooms and Suites Renovation

COLUMBIA, South Carolina— Marriott Columbia has completed the renovation of its guest rooms and suites. Owned and managed by Columbia Sussex, the Marriott Columbia is located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina, just minutes from the State Capitol, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden and Bull Street Stadium.

Marriott Columbia is the largest downtown hotel and blends Southern comfort and urban style throughout its meeting space and accommodations. The full-service hotel offers Southern American cuisine at its Midlands restaurant and adjoining lounge and features the largest amount of flexible event space in downtown Columbia, with 24,000 square feet of function space that accommodates groups of up to 800 people.

All 300 guest rooms, including the Governor’s Suite, Parlor Suites, Junior Suites and Balcony Suites, have been renovated to reflect the city’s history, culture and metropolitan lifestyle. The complete redesign of the hotel’s guest rooms included entirely new furniture and finishes.

The guest rooms and suites take advantage of natural light and surrounding city views, including of Boyd Park at the Columbia Art Museum, Arsenal Hall and historic Main Street. Each guest room also features high-speed Wi-Fi, a large desk with a well-lit workspace and chair, 50-inch flat-panel TV, in-room coffee bar and outlets and nightstands outfitted with USB ports for multiple electronic devices.

The Marriott Columbia features three concierge levels and a Concierge Lounge. Concierge level guests enjoy turn-down service (upon request) and access to the Concierge Lounge, which features expanded continental breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, desserts and bar service.
