Wenatchee Valley, Wash.
Few communities can brag of having “300 days of sunshine” each year, but Wenatchee Valley, Wash., can.

On the Columbia River at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Wenatchee Valley, is in the center of Washington, about a three-hour drive from Seattle, on the west side of the state.
After meetings, groups can ski, snowboard, bike and rock climb. They can test the rapids on the Wenatchee River, play golf or see a minor league baseball game.

This region of Washington has 60 wineries, including Chateau Faire Le Pont, with the largest amount of square footage of any venue for meetings.

Pybus Public Market, a renovated steel warehouse, opened earlier this year 100 yards from the Columbia River. Groups can book rail cars or flatbed cars and position them on the rail spur that leads to the warehouse. A rail car could hold a meeting; a flat-bed car could become a stage for a band at a party or reception.
