Three Waters Resort and Marina, Tribute Portfolio, Now Open

Three Waters Resort and Marina, a Tribute Portfolio Resort in the Florida Keys, recently opened its doors. Formerly known as Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina, the new, upscale resort is part of the Islamorada Resort Collection, which also includes the Amara Cay Resort and La Siesta Resort and Villas. Three Waters Resort and Marina spans 15 acres of oceanfront property and features 214 guest rooms, nine new dining concepts and a wide variety of upscale experiences for guests. Three Waters Resort and Marina joins Tribute Portfolio, the growing collection of independent hotels from Marriott Bonvoy, as the brand’s first location in the Florida Keys.

The new resort features The Cove, an adult-centric resort-within-a-resort, featuring bright, island-inspired guest rooms and suites with only king beds, a tranquil private beach lagoon and the resort’s Wave Motion Studio. The remaining guest rooms and cottages will be the epicenter of the resort, with a family-friendly, Florida Keys-inspired aesthetic.

The enhanced lobby provides a feeling of nature, using materials like local coral stone and vegetation that reflects the mangroves of the Keys. It also boasts a Rum Library where guests can enjoy tastings throughout their stay.

“Guests are invited to discover an all-new Florida Keys experience at Three Waters Resort and Marina, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, where we are blending the history and authentic spirit of Islamorada with new and unique guest experiences,” said General Manager Matt Skaletsky. “We will offer something special for every guest. Whether you’re looking for innovative culinary experiences, unparalleled fishing and watersport adventures, a relaxing family vacation, or a romantic couples’ getaway, the new Florida Keys awaits.”

Three Waters will introduce nine new culinary concepts, offering a wide selection of cuisines to guests and locals alike. The resort’s signature restaurant is slated to open in late 2024 and will feature live-fire cooking on an open hearth at the center of the restaurant. Other culinary options include the Tiki Bar; the raw bar and cocktail lounge, Little Limón; the swim-up bar, Kokomo; and the poolside bar, Hideaway, as well as Islamorada Pizza Co. and a Starbucks. Mercado Morada features Central American street cuisine, and Lucky Twist serves up soft serve ice cream.

Three Waters Resort and Marina was named for the three bodies of water that surround the Florida Keys: the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Located within the “Sport Fishing Capital of the World,” Three Waters will have new, water-inspired experiences launching in 2024 with a strong focus on education. With the help of seasoned Florida Keys captains and fisherman, guests will learn the best practices for fly casting, boating 101, fishing tips, fileting fish, lobstering and more.

The Marina at Three Waters Resort features 72 slips total and a new boat valet service. Guests can experience fishing in Islamorada with the resort’s full fleet of experienced offshore and backcountry fishing captains.

An all-new water taxi, Rum Runner, will be available to transport guests between resorts within the Islamorada Resort Collection, and Miami Seaplane will be based at the resort and offer a seaplane service from Miami as well as charters to Key West and around Islamorada. Guests can book jet ski tours and guided eco-tours with Spray Watersports located at The Cove’s marina. Three Waters is also home to the Islamorada Dive Center where guests can book scuba diving charters, take scuba courses, and enjoy snorkeling, spearfishing, sunset cruises, sandbar outings and more.
Other new resort experiences include sunrise and full moon yoga, Reiki and sound bowl meditations and new swimming lanes.

For events, the resort offers Sunrise Point, a private island designed specifically for receptions, where guests arrive by boat. Groups can also use the resort’s multiple beaches for events, the large, open-air, thatched-roof pavilion or Bimini’s Edge, a 72,000-square-foot outdoor venue next to the resort’s marina that is lined with palms, fire pits and a boardwalk.
