Caesar’s Waterfront Conference Center To Open in August

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – More than 100,000 room nights booked for the scheduled August opening of Harrah’s Atlantic City Waterfront Conference Center. Set to become the largest convention center-hotel complex from Baltimore to Boston, the $126 million center already holds signed contracts for events as far off as 2019.

Caesars Entertainment desires the conference center to attract more business travelers to Atlantic City that currently attend events in Dallas, Las Vegas and Orlando. The conference center is attached to Harrah’s Resort’s 2,600 hotel rooms.

About 60 to 70 percent of the advanced bookings of the center come from attendees who have never held a meeting in Atlantic City before. Caesar officials have created the conference center to not compete with the existing Atlantic City Convention Center, which focuses mainly on trade shows. Harrah’s Waterfront Center will instead cater to business meetings.

The center will hold two 50,000-square-foot ballrooms, which can be divided up into 29 individual sections. Plans include state-of-the-art meeting spaces that can hold up to 5,000 attendees.
