VERO BEACH, Florida — Kimpton’s oceanfront Vero Beach Hotel and Spa has launched a new Beyond the Boardroom program that offers team-building experiences away from the conference room and immersed in the wonders of Vero Beach, which is located between Orlando and Palm Beach.
Whether planning an executive brainstorming meeting for four or a training seminar for 60, groups may select one of the following activities to enhance team bonding at their meetings at the hotel:
• Cook a Local Catch: This evening, beachside cooking class with fresh local fish is presented “Iron Chef”-style, allowing groups to team up at a station and create delicious fare infused with the exotic flavors of south Florida.
• Cardboard Pirate Ship Regatta: This team-building competition allows participants to build their own life-size cardboard ships. Once the ship is complete, one member from each team enters the team’s oceangoing “vessel” and races 20 yards out, around a buoy and back to the beach.
• Earth to Vero: This package includes a green-meeting-room setup and Environmental Learning Seminar (ELS). ELS features a choice of a Moonlight Turtle Walk on the beach to watch turtles nesting with night vision goggles or an on-site Paws-On Interactive Animal Experience with south Florida wildlife.
